Bissell has grown a lot since its beginning in 1964, from primarily being a property development company, to its current organization encompassing development, property management and an award winning owner of four unique hospitality brands.
In 2011 it was time for the company's brand to reflect its diverse portfolio. The goal of the redesign was to create a more elegant logo which also incorporated the iconic 'B', familiar to Ballantyne area residents, mostly by association with The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge.
The final concept depicts the 'B' beyond the horizon and also as an all-encompassing umbrella. The B-arch has since been applied to collateral and versions of the logo have been adapted for various entities within the company, helping to bring the whole brand together cohesively.
